Who created hell?
Was it Satan? was it God? If it's God, was it meant to be an evil place?
Or was it Lucifer when he left Heaven?

I am actually most curious about it's reason. Why was hell build? Was it really just build to be a punishment? a Prison?

If it was Lucifer (or the original purpose was not to be the opposite of heaven), does that mean there are more realms than just heaven and hell?

Well, from my standpoint as a Buddhist, we each build our own personal hell, and we occupy that hell, based on the causes we make. Karma, in other words.

That is actually a better explaination than I could think of, thanks.

But in that case, is it an afterlife thing? Is that hell "present", are there infinite amounts of hells? Or is it lost to purelly yourself?

In a way Hell is an Illusionant Myth

In Ancient Times, when the sun sets in the horizon, people were confused in which "were is the sun going" or "were is it gone" on a Perspective of an Ancient, the Sun, setting look as if its going Under the Ground. Thus how the Term "Underworld" developed from. And "Hell"

If you look at the etymology for the term "Hell" It Actually means "To Hide" the Sun has Hidden in the Underworld"

Also, as you noticed the Sun Expands when Setting or the Red Sunset. People in Ancient time fought that a "Big Red Dragon" had Swallowed the sun and took it in the underworld. This RED DRAGON ultimatily became a "Red Man" thus Satan.

Wich would also explain the thought of hell being "without God". God being the Sun..

Again, from a Buddhist standpoint, there is no "afterlife", there is only the next life. Hell (and heaven too) happen in this body, in this life. Sometimes the causes I make in this life will create effects that do not manifest until the next life, when "I" won't be here as the same individual. To my understanding, effects do not manifest while life is in a state of potential, but only while life is in a state of actuality. I have no way to prove this, though.

Some "hells" are both personal and communal, and some are personal only - but all hells are personal. You can share a particular suffering with others (like we all are here in Houston after Hurricane Ike), or it may be your own personal private suffering that no one else shares.

According to scripture God created Hell as a punishment for the devil and his angels.

Brothers, believers and non.

Charity is correct. I believe, as a Christian and believer in God's Word, that He created Hell to punish Lucifer, the fallen Angel, and the others who fell with him.

There were other fallen Angles, not just Lucifer, but Lucifer is the most documented. It could be also said that Judas Iscariot became poisoned by Lucifer in a sense, for was he not the one who betrayed Christ, and with a kiss at that.

But, I understand what you were saying BB. Some catholics believe in a realm of Purgatory. Purgatory is a realm between Heaven and Hell where souls go before they are judged. In this sense, they believe that there is more than one "realm" in the passing.

These are just my beliefs, others may have different ones, but I am proud of my beliefs and will not sell them out.

There is no Biblical evidence that That Lucifer was a "Fallen Angel"

"Some catholics believe in a realm of Purgatory" Does The Bible Teach Purgatory ERM NO it dont, Jesus definity never teaches it, Purgatory is a Pagan Adaption.
Catholics have adopted so many pagan stuff that i dont know how people call it a religion based on Jesus.
