Why do Christians rely on conversion.

Often this is a very big debate in this side of the World. Almost all the Christian missions here are having only one main goal that is conversion. If there is any agitations or some form of "Big brother" attitude is shown against conversions, they step into the streets to cry for and even sent the matter to Pope for prayers.
Why they behave like this in conversions.

What is it that you would like to know about conversions? Do you understand what they are speaking about? I mean has it been explained to you?

The message of the post is confusing, we need more facts....what part of the world? What kind of Christian missions? Agitations and Big Brother are not explained. Who stepped in the streets and asked the Pope for Prayers? Most denominations that I know about would not be addressing the pope just as the Catholics would not be calling on say, Billy Graham. Please explain your thoughts, we can not give an answer based on this information..............

English not your first language right? I take it you mean, you dont understand why missionaries would carry on like they do in your part of the world in order to convert people, and going into the streets crying and even allerting the pope seems a bit over the top for you.

I dont know why they carry on like they do...but the good news has to be preached all over the world..and then the end will come.

No one can come to god unless the father god draws people unto him

Since the gospel is foolishness to many people it does not mean that the gospel has to be preached in every country to every person, but rather that every incarnated child of god (wherever they might be in the world) needs to hear the gospel, so that he can testify to it being the truth. That could have already happened. Only god the father knows when the end will come, because he is the one that knows when he has drawn the last person unto him.

There could be two reasons for their urgency regarding getting 'converts'

A. god is in a hurry to come back
B. The missionaries feel it is their duty to lobby for converts.

We don';t rely on conversion, we rely on the sufficiency of Jesus Christ being our substitute and payment for our sins, conversion occurs through the Holy Spirit when we trust in that sacrifice and confess Jesus as Lord (master).

I don't convict people of sin, the Holy Spirit came into the world to convict the world of sin, righteousness and judgment, the problem is that men's hearts have waxed cold and their ears are dull and their eyes do not see ,lest the gospel (good news of Jesus Christ) would deliver them.

The natural inclination of men is that they love the pleasures of sin(as God calls it) for a season and to change that nature of a sinful, rebellious perverted ,immoral lustful heart, conversion in the Christian circle is the essence of a changed life.

It';s when men's nature is transformed and God's nature is superimposed into his.
He then becomes a new man with a God like nature

How do you justify mass and often violent conversions? Is it something like "see the holy spirit or my sword is going through your lungs"? Or was Christianity just desperate for some more sheep during the mass conversions of Scandanavia?

If you took polio vaccines into a village that was ridden with polio, what do you think your "main goal" would be? Christians care about conversion because they believe it will help people and change people's lives for the better. We don't rely on it like some sort of rite of passage.

Do some people over-emphasize conversion, to the point of stupidity even? Absolutely. But that is not the norm, at all.
