That doesn't help you make your point. Israel is not a proper transliteration. It's just how English people write it on a map. It should be Yisrael. Jerusalem is "Yerushalayim" Turning it into "heru salam" is sloppy and irresponsible. |

Thats because the Y is silent, and the letter J was introduced in the English alphabet about 400 years ago.
