This quote is being debated in another thread. They are debating different aspects of it, but it is for LDS only. I just wanted to comment on the emboldened part. To me, this is the most self-righteous part and the most condescending. It seems to me to completely contradict the part leading up to the parentheses. I just wanted to comment, but couldn't in the other thread. If anyone has any thoughts, I'd be happy to make it a discussion, but if not, I've said what I wanted to.

All I can say is if I was a Catholic I wouldnt feel so "lovingly accepted" by the person who stated this about me..

I assume all other religions feel this way about me. I wouldn't agree with their thinking, obviously, but it doesn't bother me at all. All who are not LDS naturally believe that we are wrong in our doctrine. This is completely understandable. If they didn't believe we were wrong, they'd be one of us. If I didn't believe the Catholics (or anyone else) were wrong in some things, I'd be one of them.

The way it's said, though, is like "We know you're doing your best, and trying to be as good as us, but we won't hold your being wrong against you. Aren't we such great people?" That's a lot different than saying "I disagree with your way of doing things, but we're both people, so there's no reason for me to treat you differently because of a disagreement."

With all respect and love..It really doesnt matter what other religions might or might not feel about you..I would be just as "offended" If someone stated what you did but towards Mormons/LDS..Again with respect..it comes across a little on the arrogant side..Im sure you didnt mean it that way..Its just how it reads to me..
