Or maybe I dont put God in a teeny tiny box and reserve Him for only what I blelieve and others who believe exactly as me..and then go around telling people I have it all figured out and if you dont believe what I believe you are doomed.. Love Dallas

There may not be one true way. There may be multiple religions that promote the same basic process and thus they may all have the same goal. However, that is not to say that all religions are equal in terms of the metaphysical claims they make. One religion might actually be superior to another in this area. Religion A might have a more consistent worldview based on axioms that religion B also accepts.

I'm fully convinced that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is what it claims to be - the restored Church of Jesus Christ on the earth in these latter-days. I'm fully convinced that the Book of Mormon is of divine origin and that there are living prophets in this church today. I'm fully convinced that God the Father lives and that Jesus Christ is His Son and our Redeemer.
If you knew nothing else about me, other than that I have this conviction, meaning you knew nothing of my attitudes towards other faiths or other people, knew nothing of my life or my motives, knew nothing at all, except that I have this conviction, would you conculde on this basis alone, that I am self righteous?

What I'm stating is simply God is too big to be "labeled" LDS..or Catholic..or hey? Athiest..think about it ..does God believe there is a God? Also as ignorant as I am??..I would never take litterally word for word what has been passed down to us in regards to God in writing or word of mouth..Too many "men" have had influence over it ..some for not so Godly reasons..IMHO.. So the way I see "truths"(as religion goes) is that they are as unique and diverse as we ourselves are..There are no two snowflakes identicle.. Even within each religion the people themselves have "persoanl truths" ..personal convictions ..and personal triumphs..goals and experiences.. God can not be put in a box.. Love Dallas

You can believe that what you follow holds a greater view of truth and still acknowledge that other religions are aiming for that same truth. For example, you might, by considering your sentiment of not putting God in a tiny box, analyze various theistic religions and come to the conclusion that you follow what you follow because the other ones limit God in some way. Based on your own criteria, you would be able to see why it is you accept the religion you do over others.
