You've said nothing to upset me whatever.

In the sense that you mean it all followe4rs of the God of Abraham are Muslims.

In the sense that means anything today we who follow Baha`u'llah are Baha`i. Baha`i means "One Who Follows Glory." In this day it means the same thing. It would irritate greatly most Muslims theswe days, since most Muslims tend to think of us as Apostates or heretics.

Technically, I am neither since I was never an expressed follow of al-Islam. I came to see Muhammed as a Prophet of God because I found Baha`u'llah, I did not declare myself to be a Muslim as most Sunni, SHi'ih, Shaykhi, would see it.

That you are not calling me kufrr, I find refreshing.

Well the quote of Imam Shafi'i (rahmatullah alaih) is very clear, prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alaihi wa salam) is the last nabi (prophet) and last rasool. Every Messenger is a Prophet, but not all Prophets are Messengers. Being a Messenger is higher than being only a Prophet. Muhammad (sallallahu alaihi wa salam) was a Messenger and a Prophet, he is given both titles in the Holy Qur'an. The Qur'an also says he is the last prophet, which makes him the last messenger as well, since all messengers are prophets! If Quran said Muhammad (sallallahu alaihi wa salam) is the last messenger, than people will debate whether a new prophet can come or not. This is why Allah, out of His infinite Wisdom, said Muhammad (sallallahu alaihi wa salam) is last prophet, so there leaves no room for confusion or doubt.

Also there is a hadith of Muhammad (sallallahu alaihi wa salam) recorded in Sunan at-Tirmidhi where he says that thirty liars and deceivers will come from his ummah and each of them will claim to be a Rasool (messenger). This clearly means that there is no new Messenger to come. In another hadith, he said that both risalat (messengership) and nabuwwat (prophethood) have been terminated because he is the last one (sallallahu alaihi wa salam).

You guys have been at this for quite a few days...

I really don't want to add to the cauldron by getting too mixed up in it..

but let me suggest a few things.

When we Baha'is mention a Day of Judgement were thinking of the decision people make in acknowledging a Messenger of God.. So at the time of the dawn of the revelation of Hazrat Muhammad it was a Day of Judgement... those who accepted Him were separated from those who didn't..

When it talks about the heavens or stars falling it means the heaven of religion and that the stars of the priests and religious leaders are falling from their exalted position in society:

The heaven of every religion hath been rent, and the earth of human understanding been cleft asunder, and the angels of God are seen descending.

~ Baha'u'llah, Gleanings from the Writings of Baha'u'llah, p. 45

Every Messenger of God has brought ordinances and the later ones abrogate the earlier ones...

yes, Rasol means messenger. Nabi means Prophet. Mohammad (PBUH) was last of Prophets. but messengers would come till the end of time.
