You are sitting on the fence.
You can not quote the Bible and say that He killed people if you do not believe He does not exist. That is what controdicts itself.

Have I read my Bible? Er, theology student speaking here! (may I suggest you aquaint yourself with RF properly as it is in my profile. All discussion is gladly accepted however you need to do it a bit less argumentively in order for it to be a discussion and not just a rant!)

Contradiction's probably not the right word. I think he's trying to say that you're being disingenuous. You don't actually believe in any god, (so the argument runs) so you shouldn't have any particular ethical objection to the portrayal of a god doing things such as we see in scripture.

+Xausted needs to realize that you're pointing up what you see as an internal inconsistency for those who hold faith with the god described in the bible. On the one hand, such people believe their god is good, but you're pointing out how that characterization isn't consistent with what we see that god doing in the bible. By complaining that you're being disingenuous, +Xausted is avoiding the argument.
