I hope this is the right place for this post. Ok two things
Doesn't the Bible say no witchcraft? And, what should a Christian do If someone is doing black magic on them? would it be smart to get a Hindu talisman for protection? DO the talismans carry evilness in itself or something..how exactly do they work?(no offense to Hinduism) How was the prohibition of Witchcraft taken form the bible? Its hard to explain unless your goign though it. Many people say it doesnt exist but this year my cosmos are SO not right for me. theres something holding it back. What about astrology doesn't the bible say no astrology. Last edited by showstopperdrew; 06-13-2008 at 06:55 AM.. |

Hiya ShowstopperDrew. Point 1: Is the Bible relevant to this discussion? The most important considerable is what Jesus, the Joyous Nazarene, may have said on the matter. Any other thoughts that may be quoted are of little consequence, imho. Point 2: So-called "black magic" is a tricky subject. What makes you think that someone is practising "black magic" in the first place? The answer to that may be far more helpful than looking into talisman's of dubious merit. Point 3: Theoretically, Hindu talisman's would have no effect outside their sphere of influence. If the practitioner was a Hindu, then, hey... what the heck, eh. In reality, it is not the talisman that protects one, it is the BELIEF that the talisman will protect than offers the protection. Got it? Point 4: Talisman's are simply "aids", as it were. They have absolutely no power of their own, but rather, gain any residual power from the beliefs of the person utilizing them. It is crucial to understand this point. Point 5: Talisman's are not inherently "evil"... unless... you believe that they might be. (Are you sensing the pattern, yet, Drew?) If you require any further help, feel free to PM me and I am sure that things can be put in order post haste.

I think also may be whether or not you believe "black magic" is going to work on you, whether you believe "black magic" works AT ALL!

Go with your heart...If you are not comfortable then look into that..But dont start to get paranoid..(in a bad way)....Nothing can touch you (your mind) if you do not want it too..
If you are open to any kind of influence..good or bad you will be affected..Just neglect or reject the bad.. You determine what that is..If you struggle with that..Ask again..But I bet ..you know the difference in your heart...and for your self.. Love Dallas

Forget going with your heart, the Bible says the heart is "decietful above all things." Christian -Wicca is a giant oxymoron. If someone has the holy spirit they don't have to worry about any type of curse. Many powerful witch doctors have been converted after realizing they couldn't have any effect on the missionaries that were sent to them.

Excuse me, but please do not comment on things you know nothing about. First off, Wicca and VooDoo are two completely different religions. They are not the same and should not be compared as such. Second, attributing curses to Wicca just proves your ignorance of the religion. At this point you only serve to misinform the poor guy even more and confuse him moreso than he already is.

I agree, there is no such thing as black magic. Black magic is simply trickery. The witchcraft in the bible, was probably just that standard Wiccan type thing. Nothing evil about it as far as I can see, apart from the fact it's not worshiping God.That may be the only reason God condemns it.
The bible does condemn astrology I think, but it's possible it may be that Christians assume it based on the fact that people who practised astrology in the bible were often seen as evil or the enemy. I may be wrong about that though. |
