I wasn't speaking for God or the Holy Ghost...
I was only going by the fact that there was no evidence to show divine intervention. When God works, There is always evidence.... IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR FAULTS TO CORRECT, TRY LOOKING IN A MIRROR ![]()

I don't think so sister, because we walk by faith and not by sight. God is sovereign, and through divine providence...He directs history according to His good pleasure, name sake, and will. We may not be able to see how He is working all things according to His plan. BTW... I am a wretched sinner deserving the eternal wrath of God. But by the sovereign grace of God...to the praise of His glorious grace... I am a vessel of mercy (rom 9).

It's impossible for anyone to believe in the flesh. Calvinists believe that regeneration comes before saving faith (check out Lydia's conversion). The only sinners that are enabled to believe by the sovereign grace of God are those predestined before the foundation of the world (Ephesians 1, Romans 8). And faith comes by hearing (Rom 10), through hearing the gospel proclaimed. For your own personal study: Monergism :: Doctrines of Grace Last edited by Fish-Hunter; 05-20-2008 at 05:52 PM. |

Nope. Not a one. We're all Mormons and Catholics and sinners here. So you might as well give up. Bye bye.

Close... to the time written about in the NT.... the time of Christ and the Apostles.... then, the oral transmission of the Gospel.... then the writing of the NT "books....
..... then 1500 or so years of Christianity.... THEN the "Reformation" innovations.
