I m not sure what you are saying here. What is wrong with saying “Jesus was a myth”. Not that I personally agree with this, I believe it is more complicated than that. But it is not inappropriate on a board dedicated to religious debates and there are threads where this is relevant.

(p.s. this thread was closed once for discussing mod activities, and I was one of the culprits. Let’s try to be careful)

There's nothing inherently wrong with saying that. It depends on the context.

For example, if the OP asks "What do you think of Jesus?" And someone answers "Jesus was a myth." that person would be truthfully giving his or her view of Jesus. It is as valid an opinion as any other.

In contrast, if the OP asks "What did Jesus mean when he said....?" And someone answers "Jesus was a myth." that person is off-topic, imo. And when the same person posts that response over and over again in different threads...

It's not that statement per se that bugs me. It's that the poster in question reminds me of a little kid, trying to interrupt an adult conversation by saying, "Mommy, look at me! Mommy!" or "Hey, Daddy! Daddy! Are you listening to me Daddy?" You just want to scream, "Shut up! Can't you see the grown-ups are trying to talk?"

It's also irritating when people constantly complain about others that they disagree with.
