Again, I agree with you. the question was "what do you know about Islam". The interpration that can be put on that question has several different trajectories. Mine is equally as valid as yours. I believe that he was asking what we know about it, not only as a religion, but also their ideas. I accept that many faiths have the same ideas, with a twist, , but he wanted to know if we actually knew what Islam's general ideas were. Oh, this is why I dont normally relpy to serious threads, I can not express myself against clever people
And beforeI get to talk about the things your interrests lie, I'll need to know them first
I never said I was interested in anything though. Just that my knowledge is limited to a few small detailed topics and it would be nice to actually not be wrong about something....lol

How can anyone say that God love him or he is part from him if God love you why would He punish you why He didn't pot you in heaven directly.

The reasonable thing is that when anyone want to win something he would work hard to have it.
We as Muslims believe that we as people and all the prophets also are slave for God.
God tell us the truth and faith and worn us from the wrong way. We as a slave for God pray ,fast (not to eat or drink an a certain time) do the zakah , give the charity to the poor people, and hajj. And also by our love for each other, by good manners, if we do all these things we will (in sha allah) go to heaven.
I am sorry if I can't help you but that is because I don't want to make you think in wrong way. But believe me that the idea that god love you (Christian) and in the day of judgment you will go to heaven directly is not sensible.

Hiya Mesk, I see you overlooked my question (See post #55). Although I do understand that this is a topic that Muslims do not like to discuss, it might prove to be an interesting point of discussion nonetheless.

Now, I understand that you intended this to be directed at my friend, Scott1, but I did have some comments on your "thinking".

You see, Mesk, you are simply replacing one assumption for another assumption and then commit the grave mistake of trying to make it all logical. You do realize that a slave has no "free will", correct? This perception of our relationship serves to minimize the word "slave" by making it mean something it does not. In all fairness, this assumption is invalid. What you are really meaning is the Qur'an (and the hadith) telling you what is what. It is only your belief that the Qur'an is the word of "god" that makes the rest remotely plausible. It is perfectly "sensible" considering the underpinning theology. Aside from this, it is a splendid amusement to see the word "sensible" in the same sentence as "Judgment Day", given that the concept of Judgment Day is not an especially brilliant idea to begin with and so sensibility would not reasonably enter into the discussion.
