Well tere's some pretty interesting, or boring(depending on what is being discussed), threads about the LDS. But the conditions of those therads don't allow us to explain our beliefs using our other books of scripture besides the Bible. So here is a place of discussions to happen about the beliefs. It's an anything goes with one exception. NO POLYGAMY! The polygamy topic has been dicussed to death in those other threads. If you want to debate against polygamy go to those other threads.

Let the conversations begin!
Well now we have two exceptions, holy Mormon undergarments and polygamy. Are you trying to say that holy undergarments went out of style, and are no longer used by modern day Mormons?

Mormon Underwear

"Some people might know that members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (or the Mormon Church) wear a special kind of underwear or undergarment in correlation with their religion. This is very true with most adult LDS members. (Mormon children are usually clothed the same as any other child.) These special LDS panties are called a "garment" by Mormons, and it is related to Mormon temples."

Why would you think that's what I was trying to say when I said nothing of the sort? I'm just speechless to think that a total stranger would have an interest in my underwear. Do you typically go up to people on the street and ask them questions of such an intimate nature? What kind of a sicko are you anyway?

Please tell us about your underwear.

Doesn't it give you divine protection?

If you must know my underwear provides a comfort layer between my skin and my clothes. It get dirty from oils and dirty from my skinand I have to change and wash them often.

I think Roman Catholics have a similar protective garment called the scapula.

Sounds like a bone in the human body.

Does the same manufacturer make both the Mormon and Roman Catholic protective undergarments?

Huh? You seem to be overly obsesive about making connections between the RC church and the LDS church. Any particular reason or is it just a hobby? Do you have anything against the RCs?

We Evangelical Christians prefer the armor of God described by the Apostle Paul in Ephesians chapter 6.

You mean you literally wear roman armour?! Cool! You should post some pictures. I wish I had some Mando armour to wear. Especially if it had working weapons.

I symbolically wear the armour of God by living my life in harmony with the teachings of Christ.

Oh, btw if you are wondering about LDS garments here from lds.org:

Wearing the Temple Garment
Once people are endowed, they have the blessing of wearing the temple garment throughout their lives. They are obligated to wear it according to the instructions given in the endowment. Those who have been endowed in the temple must remember that the blessings that are related to this sacred privilege depend on their worthiness and their faithfulness in keeping temple covenants.

The garment provides a constant reminder of the covenants made in the temple. The garment should be treated with respect at all times. It should not be exposed to the view of those who do not understand its significance, and it should not be adjusted to accommodate different styles of clothing. When worn properly, the garment provides protection against temptation and evil. Wearing the garment is an outward expression of an inward commitment to follow the Savior.

These are thw words of Christ, your redeemer, listen to them...

2 Nephi 29: 3-4, 6, 10
3 And because my words shall hiss forth—many of the Gentiles shall say: A Bible! A Bible! We have got a Bible, and there cannot be any more Bible.

4 But thus saith the Lord God: O fools, they shall have a Bible; and it shall proceed forth from the Jews, mine ancient covenant people. And what thank they the Jews for the Bible which they receive from them? Yea, what do the Gentiles mean? Do they remember the travails, and the labors, and the pains of the Jews, and their diligence unto me, in bringing forth salvation unto the Gentiles?

• • •
6 Thou fool, that shall say: A Bible, we have got a Bible, and we need no more Bible. Have ye obtained a Bible save it were by the Jews?

• • •
10 Wherefore, because that ye have a Bible ye need not suppose that it contains all my words; neither need ye suppose that I have not caused more to be written.

There are "bodies celestial, bodies terrestrial and bodies telestial," just as there are fowls in the air, beasts in the field and fish in the sea.

Why would you rather be a beast than a fowl ???
