Thats what I am wondering. How in the world can you think Utah is redneck? Anyone who says that has never been to the south. I have lived in both Utah and Tennessee, and Utah is no where close to being redneck.

I was born in Florida, i've lived in Conneticut, North Dakota, Utah, Arizona, California and Washington state and there are definitely Rednecks out there in utah. just as much as there are in Arizona or Nevada.

I myself am a redneck (my wife would tell you all about that too). but the fact remains Utah mormons are different than the average run of the mill mormons you find in other states.

Utah Mormons may be different from Mormons elsewhere, but that doesn't mean they're rednecks. Your statement is so inaccurate that I can't help but wonder how you're even defining the term.

ummm, maybe ur taking redneck to mean something different than what i am talking about.

I'm a Redneck - I grew up on a ranch with goats and chickens 20 miles out of town. so i don't mind getting dirty, shooting guns, running around in a big pickup truck.


If you're thinking of Hillbillys - the white supremist uneducated hicks, that is not what i mean.

I am sorry but none of those states have rednecks. A redneck is someone who drives a huge, beat up, old pick up truck with a wooden pole stuck in the a corner of the bed with a 8' x 6' rebel flag blowing in the breeze while he is driving down the street while spiting sun flower seeds in an empty bottle, wearing a John Deer hat with a bent fishhook on the rim (I went to high school with this guy).

Yup, sounds like a redneck to me. I grew up in the suburbs, graduated from college, love going to the symphony and the theater, love to read and value the finer things of life. I am reasonably well-traveled and am comfortable mixing with a wide variety of people. To you, I might be called a snob.

Please tell us about your holy underwear. Doesn't it give you divine protection? I think Roman Catholics have a similar protective garment called the scapula. Does the same manufacturer make both the Mormon and Roman Catholic protective undergarments? We Evangelical Christians prefer the armor of God described by the Apostle Paul in Ephesians chapter 6.
