This guy has some interesting things to say, check it out from Youtube.
TheCurseOfFaith Maybe this should be in the Atheist forum, I'm not sure. Anyway, he has some things to say believers should be challenged by too. Discuss, once viewed. |

Yeah, it is a kind of retarded view of Christianity he espouses. But some of the things he says about spiritual debt and the differences between spirituality and religion resonated with me.

hi, Random
i watched all of it. what do you think? what i think is clear. first of all, i personally do not care for anyone even if they were trying to tell me most purified essence they got from their lives, in case they were looking down on me. this is maybe a weakness of mine. i do not like people insulting others just because they have different perceptions of reality we share. if he, this guys just told about his point of view about reality, he'd be more respected by me. but instead he insults others. for that matter i think he is no any different than people who made him talk like that. i mean religious people who see others as losers, second class....well you name it- he is in the same league with them. because this is the same act from another angle. he is being the exact act that he insults. also, it is even inhumane to perceive people like robots. very shallow to think all the Christians or Muslims or whatever are the same. i am a Muslim and if one person thinks that he knows me just by knowing i am a Muslim, he is just knowing himself, not me. it is very inhumane to ignore individual. an individual ignoring an individual. he thinks he knows. he knows what he got. as long as he believes that he know he learns no more. prejudging dead man. ![]()

He makes a lot of assertions but doesn't really back them up with anything other than his own opinion.

I liked his invisible man analogy.
Other than that he seems (at least on the basis of this one video) to be one of those guys who has read Richard Dawkins' books and overshot the point.
