Perhaps, he was looking for clarification or trying to form a different view and everything that was thrown at him to make him believe didn't take...

It happens, you know. We look for answers and maybe, the ones given just proved, well, nothing to him... just proved what he already thought and knew...

I don't mean this as offensive but, if you can't believe in things that don't have any evience you must have a very very narrow view of the world and the universe.

Like I said, he's looking for answers and didn't find any. Everyone has their own views of the world and life in general. He needs evidence. You don't. Good for you. Some of us aren't as 'blessed' as others. You make judgements on someone because of his disbelief in religion. Honestly, the only reason that I came to his site is to find clarification and sometimes goading people into talking and showing ideas and even ******* people off accomplishes that. It's very short sighted to assume just because he doesn't believe in God he's a narrowminded person.

That's not what I was saying at all. I never said that he was narrowminded because he doesn't believe in religion. I said that he has a very narrow view of the world and the universe because he cannot accept things unless there is evidence for them. The two are entirely different agruments. What about that guy who lived in medieval europe that died and left no evidence of his life. Surely he existed. Surely more people lived than we have evidence for. What about those ancient species that we don't have any evidence for.

I was watching the news and they found so jawbone of a presumed human ancestor that was in a location during a time that scientists didn't think they could be in. So for those who only live based on evidence, until recently, those ancient people never existed, but they did.

The glitch in science is that science cannot believe in anything unless it is measurable. Unfortunatly for science there are so many things in the universe that aren't measurable. Either because they can't be measured or we don't yet have tools to measure them.

So it has nothing to do with religion, but everything to do with things that exist but we have no evidence for.
