There was nothing divine about Mohammed or the
Bbaha'u'llah. They listened to God and related what they heard. I am sure that neither one made the claims that Jesus made.
In his own direct words, where does Jesus say He is God? None of the quotes yoyu have shown us before say that.

I have yet to see an example of where Jesus in His own words, says He is God. Can you show it to me?

None of the quotes you showed before say that. Jesus says in several instances that He is the Son of Man, but that's not the same thing.

Regards,
Scott

Well, since I don't believe early Christians were Sola Scripturist, I don't think it matters to us whether it's in the Bible or not. Surely, you can see that many early Christians saw him as such?

They mnay have, it would have been a significant mistake that has taken Christianity far from it's basic truths, but they may have thought taht way.

Islam has found itself at a dead end because of baseless dogma as well. If it wasn't right for Islam it was not right for Christianity either.

I am afraid that Jesus said he was the Son of God:

Luk 22:70 Then they all said, "Are You then the Son of God?" So He said to them, "You rightly say that I am."

There are other verses that say He was the Son of God:
Mat 8:28 And when He came to the other side, to the region of the Gergesenes, there met Him two demon-possessed men, coming out of the tombs; exceedingly violent, so that no one was able to pass by that way.
Mat 8:29 And suddenly they cried out, saying, "What have we to do with You, Jesus, Son of God? Have You come here to torment us before the time?"

Mat 16:15 He said to them, "But who do you pronounce Me to be?"
Mat 16:16 And Simon Peter answered and said, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."
Mat 16:17 Jesus answered and said to him, "Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.

So... Jesus is the Son of God not God in the flesh! He cant be both, he can be divine, through being the son of his father - like a prince is to a King, but he cannot be God himself!

This belief does not always exist.

I am very selective in my reading of the Bible and get more from the colour and the teachings of the Bible than the exactness of the translation or the actual words.

Jesus teachings were so new in the world, as compared to the Jewish norm, that their teaching and truth shine through.

Contrary wise some of Paul's teachings are so much like the teachings of a Jew of his time, that although moral issues are handled well, they often show little of the new reality that Jesus brought us.

Jesus speaks directly to our heart and soul.
Paul walked in the Holy Spirit and wrote as the Spirit of God directed. His style is different but the concepts give further insight into the deeper meanings of Christianity. Paul also writes that Jesus is divine saying that Jesus is the exact representation of God. He also wrote that Jesus is the creator of all things.

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him and without him was not any thing made that was made. I him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in the darkness and the darkness comprehended it not. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. The same came from a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. That was the true Light. which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, or of the will of flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word was made FLESH, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory of the only begotten son of the father, full of grace and truth. [John 1:1-14]

Yes the word was that of God or if you like the knowledge of God. God gave Jesus the knowledge, so he spread Gods word! That doesnt mean that Jesus was God, it just means his "job" was to spread the word/knowledge of God!

Many textbooks have detail accounts of theories that scientists have worked out over the years. The theory/word is that of the scientist/God. The author of the textbook/Jesus lets every1 know the theory/word of the scientist/God but that doesnt mean that the author of the text book is the scientist/ Jesus is God!
