The John verses clear state that Jesus is powerless and that God and Jesus are two completely different people. Acts says that God is the one responsible for doing miracles and not Jesus, therefore Jesus isn't divine. Mark says our lord is ONE lord not three. It all makes sense when you stop considering the term "God" to be a title that is singularly held - it is not.

The Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost are all considered "Gods", all being members of the Godhead.

Inability to reconcile this with the commonly accepted philosophy that God is someone (or something) that is a one and only gave rise to the very confusing concept of the Trinity.

The term "God" is a title that is attributed to the highest office of the Holy Priesthood, thusly, "As man is, God once was, As God (our Heavenly Father) is, man may become."

Luke 22:70 doesn't have capital letters, so this dichotomy doesn't work in Greek. Why do you think those capital letters are there in the English translations? And why translate the same characters in Rom. 8:14 without the capitals? Theology creeping into the translations, methinks.

What translation?

Here's the King James:

"1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.

1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

1:5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not."

"1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 1:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth."
