Very good point Wandered Off. They believe in Jesus Christ as Savior. But they do have a different book from mainstream Christianity. Maybe mainstream is not the right word. Enlighten me.

I didn't want to start an argument (for once ). I know many believe they are separate, and we've had countless threads about it. My personal view is that they aren't separate, which is why I asked.

Just to inform:

We believe in the Bible (Old and New Testament) and use it constantly. In fact, last year, the whole year of study in Sunday School classes for the entire LDS Church was the New Testament.

We also believe in the Book of Mormon, which to us is another testament of Jesus Christ, it confirms that He is the Saviour and clarifies doctrines found in the Bible for us.

We also have the Doctrine and Covenants and Pearl of Great Price we count as scriptural.

Not that I know of, but in my own opinion, I feel they were "prophets" not "Prophets." To me, there prophets in a sense that God gave them what they needed to tell the people at that specific time and age of history (as I feel God would never leave any of His children without help, comfort and a message), and much of it is true, but it doesn't apply to me specifically right now.
