I agree that it should be equal. The ideas presented can be anti-Christian/anti-whatever as long as the pro-whatever side is shown as well. If it's just anti-whatever, then absolutely. It shouldn't be allowed.
Announcing a person's views and giving students an equal opportunity to take in both sides of the story are two completely different things.

Not at the Kindergarten level, but again, by highschool, it's different. I had teachers telling me their personal opinions all the time in highschool, and many times I did not agree. It's preparation for the real world. (And anyway, there's already God in the pledge of allegiance, prayer at graduation and sporting events, a moment of silence every day, Christmas pageants. The Christian god is present even in secular schools.)

I don't think it really matters when it happens.

![]() But seriously, I'm sure it's ok for a class to go way off topic a couple times in the entire year - everyone has opinions and views and I think that even though it's a maths teacher, she may be able to provide another view that no-one had thought of on a completely different topic. But of course if less than 95% of the year is maths teaching, then you should probably say something ![]() I've had some GREAT discussions about many a topic with all my teachers in high school, at least 4 times per year with each teacher. They really were a great bunch and I hope all teachers are like that. Sure, we may not have learnt anything on the curriculum for those 4 hours in the year, but we definately learnt a whole lot more that has nothing to do with any curriculum in any class.

if you only want to go at it from a Christian perspective, many Christian preachers preach on the subject of politics, how society should be, how to fix society, and many of the more fundamental preachers focus on the middle eastern politics of Israel and it's surrounding nations. like i said, i just don't understand why a university would actively choose to not provide lectures in politics. oh yeah, where was i whining? where did i say liberals should be in power (though i certainly think they should)? the only agenda i have is... let me see, what do i want again? something about ending discrimination? helping those less fortunate in society? yes, i freely admit that is my agenda. and that is relevant to this topic how?

Then may God Bless those teachers that can manage talking about God and still end up teaching what the class is actually about. People go to a math class to learn about Math.
