Atheism, for the same reason as one may legitimately say: "I don't believe in leprechauns" without having to hedge and declare agnosticism towards leprechauns.

I don't think atheism or theism are choices. Just to be clear: I think that a person becomes an atheist at the moment he or she stops believing in God, not some period of time later when he or she decides to let his or her church membership lapse. |

Which do you feel is the most logical standpoint to have: Theism, Atheism, or Agnosticism?
This really depends on the stance, does it not? I supposed it is in regarding to the existence of a deity. There are no physical evidences of any divine intervention, except through testimonies of those who write the scriptures and people who believe in them. From this standpoint, then I would say that atheism and agnosticism is more logical than theism. If we are talking about creation and the Flood as recorded in the Genesis, then I would still say that logic favors agnosticism and atheism. Lack of evidence doesn't mean that the theistic claim disprove atheistic claim of no god. Lack of evidence actually prove the atheist's point. Until evidences are more forthcoming, then I would continue to sit on the fence, despite how uncomfortable this perch may be.

I am an agnostic, and I don't believe in dragons, unicorns or leprechauns, except through literature, oral tradition, myth, legend and folklore. There's no need for me to sit on the fence in regarding to them.
However, I do find myth/folklore of dragons and leprechauns to be extremely fascinating, because I have always been fascinated by any mythical subject. Also, this is very different from religious belief in regarding to a deity or deities. For one, dragons, unicorns and leprechauns don't require to be worshipped. At this moment, I do believe that god have just as less substance than dragons, unicorns and leprechauns. Being agnostic doesn't mean that I have to "sit on the fence" for just about everything under the sun. ![]()
