You get the idea. God uses whomever he chooses to get his messages/gospel to the people. WE HAVE THE MOST TRUTH, of this I know beyond a shadow of a doubt, but I will not discount any revelation from Chirst, coming from one of his servants, whether that be Mary or Moroni or someone from another faith. All are equally important in the sight of the LORD.... I have had "great swelling motions" in my heart, that have "filled my heart," (just as is described in Alma 32), concerning these visions/messages from these visionaries... My soul/heart/mind began to be "filled" with something not of this world.... It has brought me peace, beyond what I had expected to have in this life... I could lose all I have, which I pretty much have, and still have this peace and hope in my heart. I am assureed salvation in the highest kingdom of heaven, because of my marriage to my wife in an LDS temple, but that doesn't mean I don't get tempted and fall into sin. I need to hear and read stuff like this, from a valid source, in order to build my faith. Come wherever it may... Last edited by FFH; 08-23-2007 at 12:59 AM.. |

You're totally reading me wrong, as usual. You're reading what isn't there, only what you want to see. I totally 100 percent support our church leaders and the direction they give to our church. I accept revelation wherever it may come... I am already saved in the Celestial kingdom, as far as the Doctrine and Covenants states, concerning temple marriage, but it also states that those who enter into this covenant will be "buffeted by Satan," if they don't live up to their covenants, which I have definitely felt in my life (the "buffetings of Satan"), and I need something extra to give me a boost now and then... Messages from other good Christian organizations serve to compliment the messages given in our church, conference, scriptures, ensign, etc., that's all I'm saying and trying to gain from these messages of faith, love, hope and inspiration. Imagine, the mother of the Son of God speaking to us, it warms my heart... I need a positive female figure in my life, all the ones I've known have been very critical of me...Jesus said in scripture, he "upbraideth not," meaning he does not criticize us, and we can assume Mary, being exalted, would not criticize us either. It's a lot better than reading non-Christian materials, which break down one's faith very quickly. Last edited by FFH; 08-22-2007 at 11:45 PM.. |

Becky, do you not read teachings and "supposed" revelations of other faiths, not necesarily Christian ????
I know you do, because you've discussed what you've read/are reading here on this forum, so before you go casting stones, look at yourself first... Also, don't read into what I write, what's not there...I'll tell you if I think our church leaders are misled, which obviously they are not... WE HAVE THE MOST TRUTH, but that doesn't mean others have NO truth, BUT ON THE CONTRARY, THEY HAVE MUCH TRUTH which can be shared with the "body of Chirst/beleivers". Just thought it was cool that we can also hear from Mary and what she has to say.. We need a woman's perspective to balance things out...hehe... Is that such a bad thing, NO...she's only echoing her Son's words in her messages given to these visionaries..You don't confine yourself to just reading the Ensign, and niether do I, we are no different... You like Buddhist materials, I like Catholic apparitionist's messages from Mary... We have our individual likes and dislikes outside the framework of the LDS church, which we are allowed and encouraged to explore. We are not chained/bound to only studying church materials, but are free to explore what's out there in the world, and I know you would agree and encourage that as well, otherwise you would not be posting here on this forum, trying to expand your knowledge and understanding of various religions.. Okay, video break..
Another visionary named Myrna, also living in Bosnia, has stated that this statue of Mary looks most like what Mary actually looks like, in her visions. I've personally seen one of these weeping Mary images, it's not a fake. ![]() Weeping Statue of Mary in Medjugorje, Bosnia Q&A with Medjugorje visionary Mirjana, about Jesus and Mary Last edited by FFH; 08-23-2007 at 12:19 AM.. |

, you're a good debator, it helps us to get things out in the open on both sides...It has helped us both better understand each other on these issues.. I'm sure I confuse many with my posts, as to which religion I claim. I claim Jesus Christ and his fully restored gospel, as given to our Prophets and Apostles of the LDS church, but I also enjoy listening to the positive messages of other strong/good Christian faiths and believers in Christ.. It's a good thing.. "Wherever there is anything of good report...we seek after these things". Last edited by FFH; 08-23-2007 at 12:36 AM.. |

Somebody literally recorded their telivision set playing their recording of this 20/20 ABC news special which aired in the late 80's, the visions starting in 1981.
The whole report is broken up into 10 minute segments, haven't seen this yet, but I noticed there were at least 11 of these segments.. Got time so I'll listen to it now. Just click on this link and it will lead you to the next and so forth... Here's an Old 20/20 News Report About Medjugorje (part 1) |
