First of all, this is my first post and am greatful for the opportunity given to me by this site to express myself and answer questions.

Now this thread is directed to all those who have misconceptions and misunderstandings regarding what we believe in. If you have any questions, I will be happy to answer them.

The best way to benefit from this thread is to only ask questions if you sincerely want to know the answer. Please don't spam the thread simply to waste everyone's time.

I could start writing down all the concepts and beliefs of Jehovah's Witnesses, but at the end of the day, it probably would'nt mean a-lot to most on here. Therefore, I think that my being more specific (i.e. you asking the question), we can achieve more common ground.

Are you refering to what is said in Revelation 20:4-6?

Because if you are the verses say (5,6): "(The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.)This is the first resurrection. Happy and holy is anyone having part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no authority, but they will be priests of God and of the Christ, and will rule as kings with him for the thousand years.

These scriptures refer to those who will reign with Christ, true believers, and will apparently precede the second, that of non-believers and disbelievers, in point of time.

Is it correct to say that Jehovah's Witnesses do not celebrate most holidays and people's birthdays? If that is true, what is the reasoning?

Satan was not alway the wicked person he is now, and Satan was not always his name. Jesus in John 8:44 says: "That one was a manslayer when he began, and he did not stand fast in the truth, because truth is not in him." Jesus here shows that Satan was once in the truth, but forsook it.

So, from a righteous, perfect start, this spirit person deviated into sin and degradation. Because of greed and jealousy, Satan turned away from his angelic godly spiritual ways and became what he is now, Satan.
