Why Saved By Jesus (Messiah, gospel, incarnation, Jehovah, creation)

As I was reading another thread someone mentioned why we preach that one must be saved by Jesus.



In Jesus short time ,his life was very controversial. As we know he said a lot of things, he said things like turn the other cheek and go the extra mile. He also said love your neighbor as yourself. But then he said things like calling the Pharisees and Sadducees snakes and vipers. One time, he even made whip and physically drove away the money changers .what was this? Jesus doing physical violence? Yes he did.



The reason Christians hold Jesus as Lord and Savior, and the way to the father, is because he said he was. All the things he said in the Gospels, all the controversial things, If he did not back them up,They would all be for not ,but not only did he talk the talk but he walked the walk. He was tempted in all points, yet without sin he never sinned one time. Then he went and endured the cross and suffered for all humanity went to hell for three days, and rose again, and ascended to heaven.



if he missed it in just one of those points,Then we can take the words he said, and throw them out ,but if he succeeded in all points, no sin, death on the cross, resurrection and ascension,Then he must be the son of God, and all that he said is true. Right before his ascension,He said these words , go ye to all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He then believeth and is baptized shall be saved, and he that believeth not shall be damned.

So to a Christian. This is why our joy is so full. It's because there is no other path, we finally have the answer. We need not to search any longer. We found the Messiah. We found the son of God. He has saved the whole world through his death burial and resurrection. That's why we are so matter-of-fact. That's why we seem so non-tolerant at times, because not only did he say it but he proved it. Now he is king of kings and Lord of lords. That's why we sing, shout, and dance. And feel like we don't have to compromise and not hurt someone else's feelings.


Now I know we still fights amongst each other and that we argue doctrine. But we hold to one simple truth. Jesus is the Redeemer of mankind and the only way to father God ,Jehovah, Allah. The God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob. Amen.

It's not because of what we say, its because of what he said..

Why do we preach that "one must be saved by Jesus?" Why don't we preach that God will save all God's children? Why don't we preach that God, through Jesus (the Incarnation) has reconciled humanity to God?

I think that when we say that everybody is God's children, while there is some truth to that, isn't totally accurate. While humanity is part of God's creation and He does love us, I believe we can only be God's child by accepting the gospel message. For God to constitue as my Father and I his son, I need to knowingly enter into a relationship with him.

We preach that we must be saved by Jesus because that's what Jesus told us.

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

So, God is a father because he decides to save people, and not because he created them?

If a person was separated from his father at birth, and did not know the father, he would still have a father. Nothing can change that basic relationship, even if the child embraced another father figure. God is our Father, whether we know it or not, whether we like it or not.

We preach that we are reconciled through Christ, and that Christ came so that all humanity might have abundant life. Christ is the "way, truth, and life" because Christ has reconciled us to God. There is no other way to God, except through God's own reconciliation, which God effected in the person of Jesus. Those of us who realize that believe and call ourselves "Christian," and we endeavor to live our lives as children of God, setting the example for others to follow.

Yet a son will not share in his father's inheritance simply because he's related to him (or by analogy, created by Him). If the prodigal son had never returned, the father wasn't going to force him to come back.

I would say that in a sense, God is our father regardless of anything we do in that we were created in His image. But, besides the fact that you owe your existence to your father, what kind of meaningful relationship could you possibly have with him? As FGS pointed out, not much of one.

How can you say that? You need to understand that allah is not Jehovah, Jesus will not bring a man to allah.

The Bible does not say we were born God's children, but children of wrath, children of darkness, and children of disobedience. Many verses tell us that we were once these things but are now His children through faith in Jesus Christ. The key is what we do with Jesus, do we trust in Him that He paid for our sins or do we not. If we have trusted in Him we have eternal life and are passed from death to life, and if we have not trusted in Him we will have to pay for our own sins in everlasting punishment.
