Default Self Organization

First of all
I've travelled far and wide across the net to find a place where somebody can talk freely about their views on such topics as religion without being ridiculed or disliked. So I hope that you will all consider what I have to say before you disregard it.

Self Organization
I've long examined the tendencies and instinctual behaviour of humans. Many people have commented that I have a habit of being blunt in my views on various subjects, and don't care about who gets offended in the process. I wouldn't say that they're wrong, its true. But I'll try to be civil here.
My detached view on life has allowed me to see through a lot of things that others do not, and in many places I'm known well for 'thinking outside the box'. And I believe that I've come to a conclusion on the matter of religion.

Put in its simplest form; Religion is simply the end result of social self organization in Human Beings. For those who are not familiar with the term, self organization is a scientific term, explaining the fact that many things in the universe do things without any apparent cause. Such as the forming of the crystal. You may marvel at the amazing shapes and wonder how it is that this happens. What controls it? Who controls it?
It turns out that there is no controlling power, it happens on its own. It is simply the way that the atoms organize themselves when they assume their solid state. This can be seen everywhere.
Take Haemoglobin. Scientists can create haemoglobin using its genetic sequence, but they don't know how to fold it. It turns out that they don't need to know how to fold it; it does it on its own.
The same thing happens with cells in any living animal. Cells divide, making new cells. Cells form together to form organs and muscles. These group together to form a body. These bodies group together to form herds and groups. These groups form together to form coherent biospheres. These are fuelled by self organizition, they happen on their own.
Now, because Homo Sapiens have gained a state of what he have dubbed 'sentiency', or self conciousness, this self organization represents itself in a different form. It's not shown through instinct, it is shown through behaviour. Religion is the way humans unite under one banner, by creating a social diety that we may all aspire to.

Religion

What is religion?
People aspire and believe in their religions their entire lives. But what are they believing in?
They read religious books, such as the bible, which I shall take as an example. Now, there is no evidence that any of the content was given by 'god'. The bible was compiled over hundreds of years, illegally, by many scholars. Yet, people believe in it.
Now, the bible. It's basically a rulebook, using moral stories to keep humanity from commiting the most basic mistakes, which we inherently require due to our lack of instinct, which the rest of the animal kingdom come with built in. When humans are born, they instinctually can suck and grasp, but that's about it. But we have to learn what it right from our elders. The right way of doing things have been developed over time, the most successful method has come through at the top.
I'm not saying that its wrong to believe in this, its a most efficient method of keeping our society from destroying itself.
Religion also quells the fear of death with a promise of an afterlife. It gives us hope. And then it uses the threat of that afterlife against you to ensure that you follow the rules that it has set for you. A very clever way of self organising, but in this day and age, it's simply impossible to be considered feasable. Science has unveiled too much for 'purity' to exist (Or at least, my common sense tells me that it would be foolish to believe in such a thing). But some religious fanatics simply refuse to accept a scientific explaination, because they simply don't have any evidence to the contrary.
These people don't explain things either, they just say things as though they just are, and require no explaination. And there's a lot of contradiction. Such as having sex before marriage. People are starting to consider oral sex not a violation of your virginity, quite different from what people have believed in the past. If such things can be bent and changed, then how can you believe in them.
And the idea that only humans get to go to heaven shows just how arrogant we really are. What is so superior about us that warrants us a second life, and no other animal?
And in the end, in all religions you're supposed to spend your entire life behaving, following the rules. Preparing for something that will happen after you're dead. Essentially not having a life in the process.

My Thanks

I offer my thanks for your time, and hope that I haven't offended your beliefs in any way. If I have, then I am truly sorry, but I feel that I must share my conclusion with you. I need to see your opinions. Thank you.
