I don't want to inturupt the fun, but I don't believe the Bible is to be read literally and thus don't have a problem with dinosaurs.

By the way.... keep laughing at that website.... I shot a T-Rex in my back yard the other day.

Tastes like chicken.

I wonder when man first dug up dinosaur bones and discovered the species. It would be interesting to know if man knew about them while the Bible was being written.

That whole friggin' site is disturbing! I won't even go into all the tripe that's on/linked to that site. I was going to have a big rant, but it's not worth the effort.

Lightkeeper- the anchient chinese used dinosaur bones and still do in herbal remidies... they call them dragon bones. The fact is that dinosaur (and other prehistoric animals) bones have been the source of many myths. The dragon of the Lindwurm monument in Klagenfurt is based on a 'dragon skull' that was discovered in 1335. The skull actually belonged to a wooly rhino. The cyclops was likely the result of the discovery of a fossil elephant skull. The Gryphon was also likely the result of finding a dinosaur. Psitaccosaurus and Protoceratops both are found in huge numbers in china and mongolia and both have bird like beaks and eagle like limbs. Just add wings and presto you have a gryphon. In the americas we have stories of giant beasts like Uktenna and various thunder beasts. I could go on but you get the idea.

so yes we did find fossils way back when and we fit them into our world as best we could at the time.

This is the question I have been struggling the most with. I believe the dinosaurs exist, but I also believe the Bible when it says God created the world. The only way I have found a way to reconcile these two beliefs is to believe that our time and God's time are on different scales; a day in our lives is not the same time frame as a day in God's. I would like to hear how other christians reconcile these two.

By the way, that site was pretty scary. I had no idea that every fossil is only 4000 years old....

DOH!

Do you mean that you believe dinosaurs still exist as that site claimed? Do you believe in YEC or young earth creationism? Or do you believe that the Bible wasn't being literal? And yes I would like to hear your scientific explaination of how dinosaurs fit into the Bible.

The day we find a living (non-avian) dinosaur will be a day that would make world history. Too bad dinosaurs are extinct and all that is left are fossils.

I don't have problems with them.
Crocodiles lived with them. So next time you see one, ask him about dinasaurs.
