Then why send the "bad" people to Hell? Doesn't He "forgive" all for their sins? What's your opinion?
I actually posted this question on another thread, but realized it wasn't the place.

Yes the Lord loves us all.
The Lord is also Just, He will judge everyone, but, so that people would not have to recieve the consequences of their actions Jesus died for us, effectivley becomeing our defense attorney if we "hire" him, and haveing Jesus is like haveing Johnny Cochran, it's an automatic acquital ![]() |

Perhaps He does so as a "warning" not to sin in a future lifetime, and that hell is what life would be like without Him. I don't mean this in a bad way.

This is one of the reason's I really don't consider myself Christian anymore.... What really got me though, what about the people that never heard his message? Did they go to hell for being ignorant of everything? *Sigh* this is why I think I believe in reincarnation, let God give us a few lives to get it right.

I agree with Mister Emu here. God does indeed love us all, but we must keep His commandments in order to recieve salvation. He doesn't want us to go to Hell, he wants us to love and obey Him.

If God loves us all, then why are people starving in Africa? Seriously, that doesn't seem like love to me.

Hmm...well, I'm going to hell, apparently, for the sin of sticking to my own beliefs, so go figure...personally, I have a bit more faith in God than that. I mean, heck, I wouldn't send people to hell for not believing in me or loving me, you know? And I have this sneaking suspicion that morally, God is better than me, and seeing as the whole hell business doesn't strike me as something any moral person would do...but then, I am terribly, terribly biased. I just don't think that having my ancestors eat fruit should doom me to eternal suffering unless I decide to believe that a Jewish teacher from around 2000 years ago is God/the son of God. I mean, as far as I know, I haven't done anything that merits eternal suffering so far. A bit of suffering, yeah, but haven't we all? I mean, a little seems fair, but that much?

Assuming that God's love is within us, if we all tapped into it, would we starve? Would we be healthier, would there be more peace in the world?

Can you truly blame the Lord for people starving in Africa?
If Americans on the average gave say a penny a month to the homeless and hungry in Africa, they would be getting around 7.5 million a week. |
