How do we not know that the bible wasn't written by a hermit, a nutcase, or a creative writer? Since we are only going by "word of mouth", what would happen if instead of writing the scripts on God and Jesus, the bible's "author" wrote about Death, a cloaked skeleton that roamed the lands? Would the bible say " ....and Death beckoned them, to follow Him to His grounds of death". Now that would be interesting.
There have been many years since the bible "originated". Do you not think it would have lost a lot in translation over time? Now, I could write pages and pages about demons, or flying Succubus. If I were to do so, and buried it, only to be found centuries later, would it be the same thing? Pass this message through many generations. ![]() I am not on drugs btw, lol. |

What comes to mind is that you subsitute God's name with "Death". You could take everything you say about "Death" and apply it to God. Some think death leads to true life. That would be death in the metaphorical and physical sense. Yes, Biblical meanings have changed over the years. As we evolve its meanings evolve. The Bible was written by many people.

I think it was less of a seniority issue and more of the content of the speculation.
The idea that the Bible was written by one (hermit, creative writer, nutcase) is impossible as parts of the Bible go way back, thousands of years before Christ, and we also have the writings that make up the NT, and they were written by various people. |
