Religion and progess (Jesus, Revelation, bible, Apostle, God)

Do you think that if religion addresses a genuine sphere of understanding and human necessity, then it should be susceptible to progress? If so, why? If this is true, should human nature change with the progress?

All have changed. But some (mine included) religions claim no contradictory change what so ever. Not one.

If it's true it shouldn't change, and it shouldn't be changed by man's understanding or accoplishments. But I suppose God could reveal new things, but not that contradict the old things. Jesus was revealed in the N.T but he was talked about in the O.T, so that kind of thing is possible.

So, am I correct in saying you believe in progressive revelation? That public revelation didn't end with the death of the last Apostle? Wouldn't this mean we can expand on the Bible?

Really? When I was a school boy, my Catholic friends could not eat meat on Friday. I asked them what would happen if you did, and they replied that you could go to hell for eating meat on Friday. We were kids back then, but just to be sure, I did not eat meat either on Fridays.

If nothing has changed with your religion, why the steak house trips on Friday now?

I'm wondering about the poor man who was Catholic who ate a beef jerky and was run over by a car before he could confess his sin. Does this man really go to hell? If he can see us now, I will bet he is ******.

God can expand on the Bible, we can't do anything. Nowadays people exalt there own intelligence way to much.
