Do you have your own rituals that you practice? I think we all have certain rituals. They could be the way you shave or how you read the paper. Even if we are atheists I don't think we are ritual free.

Cleanliness ritual, two showers every day, placing clothing in sectioned laundry hamper according to lights and darks. In the shower I use a face cloth, arm cloth, leg cloth, long loofah, wide loofah and a pumice stone. I wash my hair once with cucumber and sage shampoo with 43 added vitamins, and wash my hair again to make sure it's clean. I condition my hair with grapefruit mint conditioner. I wash my face with crushed apricot facial scrub for 10 minutes until it is red, then wash the entire rest of body with ginger nut and jaffa cake body wash. By that time the mint conditioner has taken effect, so I rinse it out of my hair.

Does it count that I pray daily?

well, RF is certainly a daily ritual. ignoring the mass of emails in my inbox is another.
i can't think of any daily habits that i have that i would consider ritual, because i find that as soon as i identify some form of consistency in my daily routine, i naturally break that consistency. for instance, as soon as i realised that i was checking "Oh My Gods!" (an internet web comic, an awesome one at that!) on a daily basis, i stopped checking it regularly. when i realised that coffee was my first port of call as soon as i wake up, i stopped drinking coffee, and then changed to tea, hot chocolate, or just water. i shower daily, but never at any set time. i use face care products, but the ones i use depend on what i feel like using - i even have a cheap range of products and an expensive range of products for what mood i'm in. i also use different colognes and body sprays so that i don't smell the same each day - though of course i only buy the ones that smell sexy, so i always smell sexy except for that really really cheap one that one time... that was very much a turn off... lol.

The first evening beer is a nice one. Although it isn't quite every day

Yer post really made me laugh! The (non/anti)ritual of never letting anything become a ritual! I really relate to that actually. But then occasionally you have to let some things "almost" become a ritual... so your non-ritualism doesn't become a ritual! ![]() (that's actually me to a tee regarding "superstition". Have to make sure I don't become superstitious about not being superstitious! Know what I mean?) ![]()

My rituals seem to change with every changing season.
As my needs, dreams, visiions change... so then do my "rituals". As my "rituals" change... so then does my life.

Yes I do, though I don't dare speak about them. Not that there bad, but a bit embarrassing...... ok not really all of them. I haven't done a lot of them in awhile but I'm getting better, like meditating, Tai Chi, energy work, working out.
