Question Odd Question
I have an odd question for people who believed in a god who only created life on earth.

If we discovered aliens that lived on another planet, would this disprove or reshape your notion of God?

It would be pretty hard to convince me that there was other intelligent life within our solar system. If we were to move on to other solar systems within our galaxy, the idea would be more believable to me. If we wer to extend our search to the entire universe, I would actually be surprised if there wasn't other intelligent life. Life beyond this earth has always been a part of my religion, so the actual discovery of such life would fit in rather well with what I already believe.

If the aliens don't look anything like us, then all bets are off, because God made US in his image. God has a flowing beard, not eighteen tentacles.

If the aliens look like humans I imagine there will be an alien on that planet who will dig up a set of "golden plates" written in Reformed American, which he can translate into Martian by a seeing stone. And a few years later young Martians will go from one dome to another on bicycles, two by two, wearing their little black suits, teaching their fellow aliens that Jesus Christ appeared to the forefathers of the Martians soon after visiting the Nephites.

Not at all. Baha`i writings and prayers often refer to God as "Lord of All the Worlds". Whereever there might be a life form that can exercise something akin to rational thought and exhibit free will that life form is "man".

Not at all

If aliens exist in other planets, most probably we won't reach them

It is a very big univrse, and so far we havn't found intelligent life in the Milky Way

What is beyond our galaxy is too far away

In all cases, God is The Creator of this amazing universe

There is to Him no equivalent
