It all comes down to faith. If one wishes to put their faith in the Catholic Church, then so be it. But nobody should ever criticize someone for putting their faith in God through Jesus Christ instead of a Church built with human hands. I have nothing against the Catholic Church, but I understand that the Book of Acts certainly doesn't show us that the early apostles worshipped in the same way that you would see Catholics worshipping today. It was quite different...There was no prayer for the dead or venerating the Mother of Jesus to almost worship level. The Catholic Church evolved through the ages and has added more and more to it's doctrines as time passed.

In no means am i Critisizing... I Believe Jesus KNows your heart... But the thread is debating and proving the atholic church as the first

You will get no argument from me on this. We don't make the claim that everything was the same. Our claim revolves around doctrinal issues only. We know early Christians baptized infants for example, because we have historical records to show that. We know how they viewed Mary. We know issues of authority were being developed. There is plenty of things WE KNOW from history. And as offensive as some may find it, it certainly was the Catholic Church. I don't care what people want to title it, but the fact remains that it does not resemble the Baptist Church, the Pentescostal Church, etc. it resembles only one.

Now of course you have those that claim the Apostasy (two different types that are popular by the way). I disagree with them for various reasons, but I don't understood those who believe my Church apostasized; why it would matter to them if we were first or not? Why object to something that has no affect on your faith?

Based on Doctinal history.. The Catholic Church is the first... I dont even see any grounds to dispute.. Documents Show.. Infant Bapism... The True Presence... Even Apostolic Succesion.. Bishops.. The power to Forgive sins...107 Ad The term Catholic was used... We see the inportance of Sacrements.....How much more Documental proof do you need?

I guess I will never understand why you choose slavery instead. Maybe some birds were never meant to be FREE.

If you truly want to understand Freedom, read Galatians and then Colossians. But once you realize that you are FREE of human regulations, then you will see many of these sects for what they are: Modern day Pharisees. They have a form of religion and yet deny the power of it. I choose Freedom.
