To all the non-Christians on the forums, which makes more sense in your mind, the idea of the trinity of that they are three seperate beings?
This is not to debate whether they are real or not, but why does one or the other make more sense? |

They both make sense to me, I don't know if one concept makes more sense than the other to me. But if I had to choose for the sake of debate, I would say that the trinity makes more sense than having them be three separate beings.

The Christian concept of the trinity has eluded my understanding for decades.

I guess people tried to raise the concept of three gods into one thing called "trinity" because they didn't want anyone to accuse them of having multiple gods while they preach to people that they believe in one God.

It depends on how the Trinity is defined. I was always attracted to a "modalist" view of the Trinity. But of course, this made me a heretic.
At this point I would say that God is God, Jesus was a mystic who was "Christed," and the "Holy Spirit" is God's presence upon the earth. But of course, this too would make me a heretic. ![]() |
