If it has an impact at all, it is a sad day for US education.
I am sure quite a few jokes will be thought up, over the coming years, at its expence.
I would love to see it, if only to get into the mind set of those who believe this stuff.

Many if not most religious organizations supply food and support to many people around the world. Why is it such a big deal for these same people to spend this kind of money to try to prove that our scientists (who are just men and capable of mistakes) have gotten things incorrect in all their hypotheses. After all, our governments are spending billions on the space program that's getting us no where other than having the ability to circle the earth. This is sponsored privately by people who want to see this done, rather than taking our tax dollars to do it. Just my opinion.

$25 million Creation Museum rising fast in rural Kentucky

That's a bit misleading.... Petersburg, Ky is just outside of Cincinnati. I'm glad I'm not in Kentucky anymore so I don't have to worry about schools trying to take my kids on field trips to this church. I would not be happy about that.

I am very aware of Religiously based charities and their good work in the world; however, I do not believe that $25 million is well spent in the construction of pseudo-scientific propanganda, which is not the same as "[trying] to prove that our scientists (who are just men and capable of mistakes) have gotten things incorrect in all their hypotheses." They are not funding scientific research into the origins of humanity, they are attempting to confuse the public and pressurise them into a Biblical view of the world.

I also agree with you about the government and other secular organisations "wasting" money that could be well spent in saving people's lives. This equally makes me wish I was dead; I don't discriminate.

The foundation must be quite shaky since this is built upon WAY TOO MANY faulty premises.

Science will never prove or disprove the existence of God. Why spend time tilting at windmills?

God never intended for the Scriptures to be used as a textbook. You know, like a parent watching their child do somethig really, really silly, he is rolling his eyes and stifling a laugh. But hey, so am I!

Shouldn't it be called "Creationism Museum"? There's no actual artifacts of the Creation in it.
