I don't know if I put this in the right spot, or if it is allowed, but I want to know.
I want to know what you think of the LDS, Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon -- truthfully. Instead of writing it here how about you PM me -- I want real opinions. I will not take and publsih those PM's in any sort of thread, but i may take ideas or something you say and redo it in words to better address the issue. Go ahead, say WHATEVER YOU WANT -- BUT BE SURE TO PM ME!!! |

Thanks everyone so far who has sent things, I'm just wondering and seeing what the general consensus is here at RF.
I figure the RF's are a lot less willfully ignorant, and more knowledgeable then many internet people I've ran into. |

I know, I shouldn't bump, but I'd like everyone to see this and give my their honest opinions.

I think the LDS church began as a cult, and still is in some ways. I don't buy Joseph Smith's assertions at all, and frankly, I think he was a nut.
But that said, I have found that many of the people I've met that follow the LDS church have been kind, intelligent, sincere, and tolerant of the views of others. So although I never thought much of their religious perspective, I have tended to think highly of the members. Last edited by PureX; 07-31-2006 at 04:07 PM. |
