Can you be devout without attending church or synagogue?

I'd say one can. Since I don't even know what religion I am, currently, I am left to my own devices when it comes to worship, energy-work, and meditation. I feel as if I am living and breathing my spirituality, far more than when I was regularly attending church- or at least those that had 'agendas'.
That's not to say that I don't celebrate those that find fulfillment through church, though! I look forward to finding a group that meets my 'needs'.

Sure, of course. It's what you believe and how you act more than just...going somewhere that makes you religous. Going somewhere's just to be with other people in your community, I figure. And for the free snacks they give you afterwards

Of course you can be devout still. When we are judged one day, we are not judge based solely on our attendence record. We are based on how we lived our lives. Did we live moral lives or not? Did we live our lives according to Christ. Remember, you can go to church and be a crook and not go to church and be a saint!
