Well, the lack of organization hurts the motivation. With so many of us living as solitary believers, with no religious community, what can we actually do? That's why I just work along side people of other religions... for now.

I'm not too sure about the Iowa thing , but other then that , yea I would say that it is true .

And I'm sure that Wiccans and Pagans DO become involved in social, political, environmental, and other causes? Why should they have to tie their religion to it though ? I try not even to use my name , if I can . { don't want people coming for me ..... }

Yes.

All the ones I know already are. One example is my neighbor, who has done wonderful things at the local elementary school helping support the schoolyard wildlife habitat. She's very active in environmental activities in our area.

Why are there no Pagan hospitals?

Probably the same reasons you don't find Baha'i hospitals here. We're spread pretty thin in this country, so it's more feasible to make a difference by tieing in with other existing groups.

In other countries we've been able to accomplish more due to greater numbers.

In the future, do you think Pagans and Wiccans will create hospitals and other charitable institutions?

First the numbers would have to increase to form a sort of, um, "critical mass." Should they do so, I'm not sure whether they'd band together to form such things or not. There is something to be said for having a defined structure and administration to help with organization.

Do Wiccans and other pagans talk about the possibilities of forming their own charities much? I don't really know. I would think that at this point it might be more difficult also, since there are still people who think they are Satan worshippers and other silly stuff like that.

Last, is it entirely true that Daddy Turk and Draka are really two famous Hollywood lovers who retired to Iowa and now live together in disguise, or is that just another silly RF rumor that no one knows how it got started?

And here I thought they were part of the Federal Witness Protection Programme.

the chances are, pagans do participate in action, they just don't voice their religious preference

ok, i conceed that the NHS can be a lot better, but again, it may be better to work with what we already have instead of trying to start new. besides, what right does private religion have in public health care?
