Can and should the speculation on the existance of God be restricted to the areas of belief and faith only? Or are their other avenues to explore the existance of God upon in an academic sense?

I don't see any "Connection" to God except in a spiritual manner.

do you mean, study of the philosophical virtues of the existence of such a being....?

I mean if do you base your reality of a universe with God in it on:

1) faith
2) belief
3) other (list)

and if only # 1, 2 are they the only reasonable means for accptance of God and if other than why other (list) and why aren't # 1, 2 the only reasonable means.

Yes, I think belief in the existence of god should be restricted to believing in god.

I'm only half kidding --the topic of god's existence has also been addressed through logic and metaphysics. Those are academic approaches.

Has God ever been addressed adequately through logic? If so how?

Metaphysics is literally beyond physics, meaning it is not testable or physically verifable and by default is a product of belief and faith.
