I don't think he would. I belong to the one and only true church of christ (in my views, and since we're discussing my views, I'm going to state it as fact). It is the only church that can bring complete salvation to us, the only church that has the authority to act in god's name, and the only church that Christ recognizes as his own. I think Satan would have every reason to attack this church more than anything else in this world. I can't think of one better thing for him to focus on. People who are easier to lead astray don't take much of satan's time and energy. They can get led astray even without satan. It's the people who are going strong, and in the right direction, that Satan would focus on the most.

I bet that some of the posters on these forums would be very disappointed to discover that their continual critisism of doctrines of the LDS church actually strengthens our convictions sometimes.

I am not trying to discredit your fath; I was merely questioning the fact that it had been implied that your faith was one that never changed.

Well, I didn't read everything on that site, but no, I don't deny that there have been some changes to our scriptures. I would say, though, that they are far fewer in number and less signigicant in nature than most non-Mormons would lead you to believe. And I'm still confused as to what any of this has to do with the topic of this thread.

Kathryn, Aqualung, (maybe even Jonny), I get the impression that you are very defensive.

I guess I'm kind of slow. Since I didn't feel that I was being attacked or that my beliefs were being undermined, I can't think of a single reason why I might have even felt defensive. I disagreed with the premise of Jeffrey's opening post, if that's what you mean. If it's "defensive" to "defend" your position, then I plead guilty as charged.

To me, people who are firmly committed to their religious beliefs and who are secure in the doctrines of their faith are actually less judgmental of other people than are those who can't seem to make up their minds what they believe. I fail to see why anyone should feel threatened by the fact that I am confident in my beliefs, but it appears that some people are. But, like Jeffrey, I was merely basing my comments upon my own observation.

Is it that LDS are bashed more than any other denomination? If so, why do you think that is ?

Well, to answer that question, let me just suggest that you do a google search on the word "Mormon," another on the word "Presbyterian," and another on the word "Baptist" and see how many "anti" sites you come up with in each case. As to why, I'm afraid that an answer to that question would just cause more contention than this thread needs.
