There aren't lots of gods in heaven. At least I don't think they're in heaven. I think they're in there own heavens. That's the only thing that would make sense anyway. And it's not choosing to commit suicide, per se. It's like, "well, this guy could shoot me, and I could either let the bullet blow my brains out or I could deflect the bullet." Except I don't know who would be shooting god...

There is an inherent contradiction in saying "God is omnipotent" or "God is all-powerful." He can't be.

You missed the entire point of my argument. I'm not arguing about whether or not God would kill himself - I can't imagine why he wouldn't choose eternity, either.
What I'm arguing is that, by the very definition of the word "omnipotent," God can not be omnipotent and eternal - because he would have to HAVE IT IN HIS POWER to take himself out of existence, and if He is eternal, then he obviously does not.
You can distort the meaning of 'omnipotent' if you wish... but then you might as well say "God is xxbbeayop" instead of "God is omnipotent."

I agree with you fatmop. Not everybody beleives that omnipotent means being able to do the impossible. I think it means being able to do everything possible.

Hmm... then you might not want to say 'all-powerful.' It's almost a paradox within itself. I think you've hit on a better phrasing for the power of God... just not one that preachers would like to use.
