The definition of God !!! (beliefs, atheist, eternal, Christians, verse)

Hi my brothers and sisters in our house as i call it ... RF.

while i was thinking and looking around me and through RF i found out that every person expect an image of God in his mind whether he imagined it or he has been taught to think so.

So, i wonder what do you think God is and what are his attributes.

I'll start the thread according to what i believe in as a Muslim and i'll be glad to share this thread with other members in here from several beliefs whether they are thiest, athiest, jews, christians or even though you don't believe in God so you can express what do you expect from the power of the nature or whatever you believe in.

as a Muslim i will describe God according to what he called himself in Chapter 112.

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

Allah said:

[1] Say: He is Allah, the One and Only;


[2] Allah, the Eternal, Absolute;


[3] He begetteth not, nor is He begotten;


[4] And there is none like unto Him.

Holy Quran ( surah 112 ).

I believe that the universe runs according to principles or laws, but that there is no guiding entity or intelligence "operating" those principles or laws. Therefore I have an image of "no god" in my mind.

Ignorance? More like delusion.

My goddess is not omni anything. She has no gender (this is a personal affectation as well as any other superficial qualities). Infact I know absolutely nothing about what she truly is since it is incomprehensible to my mind. I can only believe in her through the qualities I give to her.

How about a term used too ambiguously and too often to have any real meaning? Most times, a belief in god is more of an act of imagination, than of ignorance (were we to assume none existed).

You've got a point, Darkdale; I often hear my atheist son saying "Oh God!............" It has just become a 'word' in society to use - I suppose it's better than a vulgar word.
