if you read the Bible, hell is described as having worms

All the fish will be in heaven--wait, no, hell...I give up.

And no where in the Bible is there a description of the appearance of heaven as being the garden of Eden.

Would the 'heaven garden of Eden' have a Tree of Knowledge? Oho, start sinning now kids! It's another trap!

No one can possibly keep the whole law, and if you break one teensy bit of it you are not worthy and have broken the whole thing

Oh! Yes God is Love. And someone is committed to an ever burning Hell, jumping from hot rock to hot rock, eternally, forever! His punishment for me not getting to his house before he died. I would follow a god like that through HELL!!!!!!! That is your Greek God.
The Creator/Elohim, the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob has man's body decay(in She'ol) into dust from which it came and the spirit goes back to God from whom it came. This is the God who is Love.

The Catholic faith does not profess that Hell is a place with fire and brimstone, and we surely don't want to scare anyone.

In the general way these terms are thought of I would say that neither a "Heaven" (place of reward) nor a "Hell' (place of punishment) exists. However, I do not reject altogether the idea of some sort of afterlife.

SOGFPP, I'm only aware of what the Catholics and Baptists around here preach, and it's mostly threats and warnings. I cannot run into a member of either group without being told I'm going to Hell (more so the Baptists than the Catholics).

The Garden of Eden was a prototype for Heaven. The only difference between Adam's Eden and our Heaven is that we will have been resurrected and have perfect bodies and perfect knowledge. Temples are also models of the Garden of Eden, but I don't expect anyone to understand anything about that. The Bible is not the fountain of all truth, by the way. There are countless doctrines and truths that are not contained within those pages.

Kingdom of Heaven/HaShem. Kingdom of God. Kingdom of God present, Kingdom of God future, open to the Kings subjects, there are those who refuse to subject themselves to the King! The King wants all to come into the Kingdom. He has a great Gan Eden for you when you return home, your task is to serve in the Kingdom present. Don't want to serve him, you will cease to be. Choose a blessing or choose the curse.

Well, I would wager that it was somewhere other than this forum..... there are very few Baptists and I post more than any other Catholic here............ I am sorry that you have experienced that kind of false teaching by some confused Catholics out there...... there are good and bad ( more so educated and uneducated) in all faiths and belief systems.

Yes, you will (go to she'ol) if you die. There is no Hell except in Greek thought.

Gehhena is where refuse is burned, Tartaroo is the lake of fire reserved for Hasatan, the beast, false prophet and death.

I allways found Heaven and Hell to be the most interesting of the Christian ideas....

Christian groups cant agree on how to get into either and spend what seems to me to be a lot of time condeming each other there almost for fun.
