As a Christian, it seems proper that any and all conversations and discussions of any real importance will eventually come around to a discussion or an inclusion of GOD. Often I to seem find that even minor topics will evolve into a discussion of GOD in one way or another. I certainly would not look at buying a house or a car or hiring a contractor without considering GOD or enlisting HIS help.
I remember once in junior high a fellow student once said that it didn't matter if we spoke of science, history, the weather, sports, television, music, radio, war, peace, crime, gym class-------eventually GOD always seemed to become THE topic. I believe for real Christians that this is pretty much a fact... I guess I'm amused when someone gets annoyed that the topic has "strayed". The fact is it has arrived and not strayed at all. At least that is my conclusion. ![]() |

GOD knows what the future holds. GOD knows what I can afford and what will be a lemon. HE invariably knows what I need and what I'd like. Every car I've received I've had very good service.

You don't know what you can afford? You don't know what you need and what you like? What happens if someday you buy a car that doesn't work out for you? Will you blame god for steering you in the wrong direction, or just say that he didn't guide you on that one?

What I need is transportation, what I don't need is a lemon. GOD has supplied all my needs and has given me a wonderful mechanic too. Why walk in blindness when GOD will provide light for EVERYTHING...

Miracles can happen but do you have true or enough faith to have God put new pistons in an engine when they are needed. Somes makes of car are better than others and one type may be best suited for your lifestyle at the moment. Discuss this with your mechanic and pay him to check one out. It sounds as though he will be working on a car of yours at some stage but you must use your intelligence if your faith doesn't measure up. |

LittleNipper,
God bless you for your strong faith! While some here might toss a few stones at you or tell you that you don't have a "knowledge of God"....... I applaud you for believing so strongly that God will provide for you in all things. Don't let the lack of faith by some sway you from the love that must fill your heart being so close to God! 291 "In the beginning was the Word. . . and the Word was God. . . all things were made through him, and without him was not anything made that was made." The New Testament reveals that God created everything by the eternal Word, his beloved Son. In him "all things were created, in heaven and on earth.. . all things were created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together." The Church's faith likewise confesses the creative action of the Holy Spirit, the "giver of life", "the Creator Spirit" (Veni, Creator Spiritus), the "source of every good". Peace, Scott

what does this have to do with science?
Why is it that some people feel the need to cram thier religous views down the throats of others? I don't liken every discussion to my religious views and personally I would appreciate others having the same consideration. I think God would be ok with being left out of a conversation now and again. wa:do |
