When something like that happens, God is testing your faith. Sometimes He may allow those minor things to happen. If you end up blaming Him because of being in that position, well, I guess that's just a sad result.

But whether or not [you know] God is involved, be strong and never give up.

Alright, let's talk about this for a minute. Why would blaming god be a sad result? What would be the happy result? To just take in stride? "Aw god, that's alright. You let me down big time on that one, but it's cool--I know you're just testing me. Screw around with my life as much as you want, ok?"

What is he testing you for anyway? To see if you'll still love him even when he lets bad things happen to you? That doesn't sound like a very healthy relationship to me. If I were to allow bad things to happen to my kids, and even put them in harms way from time to time, just to see if they'd still love me on the other side, they'd be taken away from me by child's services, let alone the fact that they themselves would regard me as a crazy psychopath. "C'mon now kids! Let's get our priorities straight here! What's more important to you: Our metaphysical loving bond, or your material little lives?? Can't take it with you when you die, kids..."

I fail to see the purpose of any test, considering an omnipotent being would know the results ahead of time.

Is God also testing us when major events happen? Or are major events like war out of his control. If god can control people why does he let terrible things like war happen?

LOL We're supposed to be discussing God-centered discussions, but now we've entered one....this is all off topic, technically.

God gives us trials so we can become stronger people. Comparing it to putting a child in harm's way is inaccurate because God is in total control and will not let something happen to us that He did not intend to let happen. You would, on the other hand, expect your child to experience life for himself and learn from his own mistakes, right? You can't make all his decisions for him, can you? No, you have to let him fall down so he can learn to pick himself back up. It's the same relationship with God. Imagine a father who knows exactly when to help and when to let the child figure it out for himself and you have imagined our relationship with God.

Oh, the usual questions again. And besides you, who said anything about God "controlling" people?

By the way, welcome to the Forums. An introduction would be nice.

And also, I apologize if my post(the one on the very top) got some people here a little hyper.
