It depends on the person - at least to my mind it does. Some people are materialistic and their only concerns seem to be egotistically orirntated; I have an acquaintance like that (I was going to say 'friend', but he's no longer a friend - qwe have 'drifted apart').

For me, yes, I think I would be miserable without the opportunity to learn, and put into practice what I believe I'm here for.

I guess it's not for anyone though.

I agree with MICH's mind. It is how they see it, portray it, believe it.
They must ask themselves, the age old question: "Are they TRULY
happy?"

No, religious leaders just like to spread that lie around to get more converts. It's just advertising. Like "Buy this Soap and cut your cleaning times in half!!!" It's just a ploy.

Obviously, you've never bought that soap, it dissolves tough, baked in grime and grit away with me barely having to lift a finger! Anyways...Yeah, religion can complete a person, bu only if they're a religious sort of person. People who aren't a religious sort of person need to be completed in some other way.

Your search for completeness is really just your search for the good. -- Sound familiar? It should if you have read the "Symposium" but I do not remember the exact quote. So by that, for religion to "complete" you, well I guess it could but it has to be good for you in other words there can not be one religion that is "good" for everyone. As another question, how are we supposed to know completeness/perfection when most of us have never experienced it, so it makes sense then that we are all born with knowledge of perfection.

You are so right Melody...just about anything can be a religion but faith...now that will see a person through whatever get's tossed at them...at least if it's the right faith for them it will.
