Default what is god doing?
A friend of mine was discussing with a devout catholic the worlds wrongs and rights when the subjects of famine, starvation and disease reared its ugly head...On saying that "It's alright, God is with them". My friends response was... Oh! that's nice... Doing what?....

Preventing famine and starvation around the world is a collective human responsibility, and a sign of mercy in that we care for others

We are all on the same boat on planet earth, and we should help each other out

That is what Prophet Joseph, peace be upon him, did when famine threatened Egypt and surrounding countries during the 7 years of drought

His response with God's Guidance saved not only Egypt, but also other countries from famine
