Hello everyone.
I've been meaning to ask this question for quite some time. Would you get offended and angry if I as a Muslim while having a conversation with you were to say 'May Allah guide you to the truth (Islam)' If you are a non-Muslim then that just means that to you Islam is not true or that it doesn't hold as much truth as you want it. So would you be OK if I was to say to you 'May Allah guide you?'

I wouldn´t be "offended" but I wouldn´t like you to pray for me in that way. (the one where you include the "To islam" "guide him to islam" )
If you want to pray for me don´t include the name of your religion. Say truth instead of Islam and let God choose if they are synonims, at least for when you are praying for me. Of course I cant nor will force you to pray different than that which you like, but you asked, so I am telling you. BTW and because you seem interested. I was also curious some time ago, and even made a poll :We are from that other religion. But we are praying for you.

If one thinks that Hell awaits those outside of their religion, I would find it as a way of thinking that the person cares about my well-being in the Hereafter, and even if not, that the person wants me to have a closer relationship to God. I'm fine with both.

I would also think to myself why an entity that promises eternal hellfire for the Kuffar deserves worship. Hope you do not get offended and angry if I as a non-Muslim express my views about your religion. ![]() |

Allah ...God.... guides us, and everyone, all the time though the Holy Spirit.
It is not for us to decide the outcome. Guidance is not optional, it is certain and continuous. What is not certain is that we are listening, or take notice or believe. I would have no objection for a Muslim to pray for me in any way. As a Christian I pray for everyone. I am guided... though not to the path you might choose. There is one God and many paths ....it seems Your path differs to mine.

Would you be offended if I said to you 'May Vishnu guide you to His rightful path'? If that offends you, think about why, and you may apply the same principle to how others will react. If you don't find that offensive, then that's great!

Not angry, not offended. I might be suspicious. I like LegionOnomaMoi's answer
