God knew people would use their free will to hurt others, right?

I'm sure he did. But if you want a better answer, you do best asking him.

He knew, yet he allowed people to suffer intolerable agony?

So he speaks to you, huh?
and how often do you,,(Cough, cough) speak to G-d? How sure are that it is G-d you are speaking to? And finally, does this voice, that you claim to be G-d, tell you to do stuff you know you shouldn't? ![]()

In my belief God has a plan for us and if we as humans know about suffering He has allowed us to intervene... or not as we decide. Therein lies our judgement as in the case of the Good Samaritan or as in the case of anyone commissioned to relieve the suffering of others.
Part of God's plan for us today is to reduce the extremes of wealth and poverty and to work on building the foundations of a world civilization..So we have responsibility in this life and can't just blame say someone else.. |

My brother, not three weeks after our mother died, took his meds, got drunk and went for a drive. He wasn't paying attention to what he was doing, pulled out of a gas station and got hit by a log truck that was making a turn. My brother was in a coma for almost 2 months. Now do I blame G-d because my brother made a choice to, not only drink after taking his meds, but also for driving, or does it make more sense to blame my brother the choices he made that day? (I could also blame the truck driver, but being married to one, I know those things don't stop on a dime, no matter how slow they are driving.) **** happens. G-d never promised life would be easy. And if he did promise someone that, I'd like to meet this person.

these things are taking place because God is not in control of them. Mankind have chosen to be independent of him, therefore, we must deal with these things on our own.
However, if mankind turn back to God and allow him to govern them, then he will surely take care of such calamities and he promise to do so in the holy bible. But until mankind accept his rulership and give up this stupid independence from him, then we must work out how to solve such problems on our own.
