Is it possible to have GOD as a friend? If so, what is it that we expect from GOD that we would expect of our friends?

I know people who have worn shirts "Jesus is my homeboy."
But those people are so strange that I don't know if they're kidding or being serious. I think it is possible to have God as a friend, you don't need to fear him. (or so I'm told)

Since I feel god is tao, and tao is impersonal. I don't believe in being "firends" with tao.

God and Jesus are my best friends. I talk to them all the time, and they let me know what I need to work on.

I think it is when we are good friends to ourselves that we have a friendship with the Divine.

I can't honestly say that I see God as a friend. Friends are equals and I will never be an equal to God.

God the genius, or God the one earning trust through faith with men. Or is it that we must see the whole new century as a sadness that some would accept God for the life of unexplained existence and others mean that we just accept the morals of a materialistic world (structured by the attiitude of ignoring others in Life).
The only sadness is that for so many God might not exist. So many things are first of all not certain in life. Life is not a sure thing. Then some say that would be like looking at the culture of DEATH. O.K. then, if you prefer, the thunder storm brewing outside is like the brewing of an angry God. I don't trust friendly Gods when the world is at a threat, and again I don't expect a lot of frubbles for my comment.:canadian: On the other hand, we could have learned from communism about God to trust when all else with mankind goes bad . |
