I have a big problem with organized religions, mainly christianity and islam, hindus I have almost no problem with but dont follow there beliefs, they seem less intrusive to non believers. This "problem" has led me to a few conclusions.
We know nothing about the 195.000 years that homo sapiens have existed. For the two biggest religions who are really short lived in the scheme of things, to say those before and after them are wrong in what they believe/believed to me is a slap in the face of logic. if god loved his people why did he wait so long to guide them with is words.??? The big two are saying that the beliefs of man for a 195,000 years are dead wrong. in my opinion, Why would the god myths magicaly appear in the last 4-5 thousand years to guide man??? But not at the very beginning of homo sapeins existance?????. Take it a step further, why would god only talk to homo sapiens and not previous man? please dont start with god made man in his image, your hands are full trying to explain my previous statement let alone take the easy way out of this one. When homo sapiens first came into existance, im sure there was the god of fire, the spirits of fire and the thunder spirits ect ect ect. the longer a civilization lasted, the more there religion beliefs grew, the storys and myths became longer and longer Our current religions are they only a product of our civilazation lasting longer then previous tribes???? fo rme its funny how much magic happened 2010 years ago but now, there is none. Is it not funny we understand what they did not??? ![]() |

Uh... there are "miracle-workers" in today's time, as well.
Ever hear of Satya Sai Baba? ^_^

I seriously doubt the gods were born at the same time as our species. I think they must be a later development. It seems to me we began as animists, then much later on, created the gods.

I wouldn't put the good Baba in the same field as televangelist faith healers, as he supposedly causes things to materialize out of thin air, and supposedly is actually God (Shiva-Shakti) incarnate. (Supposedly being the key word, here.)
At the very least, he's humanitarian and, whether or not his "miracles" are real or fraud, he has actually performed good deeds.
