Well, let me put it this way. Darwin thought that as time went by, people would understand how evolution worked. However, now that we know about cells, which can be compared to "tiny factories," and other discoveries, evolution is in fact getting harder and harder to prove.

I attended a lecture once and this is what the presenter said:

Darwin used to be a priest. He believed in both creationism AND evoloution. The way he reconciled it was that he believed the creator made everything and then took a hands-off approach and things evolved from his creations.

Me? I can honestly say I think that life has evolved, but how it actually started, I don't know and haven't really formulated an opinion on it. Was it a Big Bang, and everything just appeared? I'm not sure. Was it divinely created? I'm not sure. But I believe in evoloution.

That's funny. Most Christians I know think it's bunk. But that is neither here nor there. Besides, doesn't evolution signify naturallistic evolution only? I mean, it seems to rule out God by definition, making the two (evolution and God, that is) mutually exclusive.

I thuoght Atheism was the fastest growing religion/non-religion. I know Islam is the fastest growing religion, but I don't think it was growing as fast as Atheism.
